STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-5630 The SMS and the SatLife MS will be based on AOS version of the AmerHis

MS.

STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-5640 The SMS and the MSs shall use the same hardware platform. NA - -

STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-5650 An INAP shall select any downlink for the installation of its MS. NA - -

STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-5660 The SMS shall distribute the bandwidth between its own IN and the rest of

INs.

STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-5670 The SMS shall give the configuration files to the different INAPs concerning:

 Route Capacity (one per MS)

 Timeslot used by the NCC of each MS.

 System configuration: PID reservation for tables and management.

The way to do this is out of scope of this document (see Annex [15]).

STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-5680 No capacity shall be shared between different Interactive Networks. NA - -

STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-5690 The SMS shall be able to behave as MS although it may not have any RCST. NA - -

STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-5700 The operator shall be able to change the mode of a MS (slave/master) just by

changing a configuration parameter and vice versa. This parameter shall be

protected by password.

STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-5710 The password shall change depending on the moment it is inserted. It will be

based on an algorithm only known by the SNO.

STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-5720 There shall not direct communication (e.g. in the air interface) between the

MS and the SMS.

STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-5730 The MS shall inform the SMS if it goes out of service (the mean is out of

scope of this project).

STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-5740 If the SMS goes down no MS is allowed to take the role of SMS without

intervention of the SMS .

STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-5750 The Interactive Networks shall not be interconnected so that IP addressing

can be selected autonomously and no communication is established between

terminals belonging to different INs.

STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-5760 In case a MS fails to logon in the system it shall retry it after a configurable

amount of time.

STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-5770 The SMS shall be able to detect inconsistencies of all the configuration files

used by all INAPs (e.g. wrong PID assignment, population identifiers…).

STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-5780 Only the INAP of the SMS shall be allowed to offer Video Broadcasting

Service.

STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-5790 A terminal shall know to what INAP it belongs by the population identifier

provisioned in its configuration. All the population identifiers will be listed in
